Modesty Tips

Modesty is important.

I often find myself thinking about this…. About how the clothes I wear actually have an impact on other people…. And more I thought about it, the more I realized that I really don’t want to be that person that causes other people to stumble in their faith.

I’ve been reading The Modesty Survey (http://www.therebelution.com/modestysurvey/) and I realized that guys are more sensitive to what I wear than I thought…

I thought I’d share some helpful tips that I use:

I usually stay away from clothes that will draw attention to certain areas of my body. (e.g. Bust area, and backside)

Reason:

I don’t want to draw attention to those areas. I really don’t want to cause my brothers-in-Christ to stumble in their faith. I’m one of those people that, when something looks different, or has something a little extra in one place, I tend to look there.

I usually try not to wear things that are skin-tight.

Reason:

This reason is very similar to the previous reason: I don’t want to draw additional attention to less flattering places of my body.
