Our Incomparable God

Micah 7:18-20 and Revelation 7:15-17

18 Who is a God like you, pardoning iniquity and passing over transgression for the remnant of his inheritance? He does not retain his anger forever, because he delights in steadfast love.
19 He will again have compassion on us; he will tread our iniquities underfoot. You will cast all our sins into the depths of the sea.
20 You will show faithfulness to Jacob and steadfast love to Abraham, as you have sworn to our fathers from the days of old.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
15 “Therefore they are before the throne of God, and serve him day and night in his temple; and he who sits on the throne will shelter them with his presence.
16 They shall hunger no more, neither thirst anymore; the sun shall not strike them, nor any scorching heat.
17 For the Lamb in the midst of the throne will be their shepherd, and he will guide them to springs of living water, and God will wipe away every tear from their eyes.”
God delights to show mercy, pardoning grace, unfailing love, fatherly compassion, and enduring faithfulness towards sinners. He has become my salvation, and is faithful to keep His promise through Christ. God wants us to be lost in love, wonder, and praise.
I hope your hearts are filled with joy this Easter.
Guest Post: For The Moments You Feel Faint
Guest post by Mary Kate:
Hey there, everyone!
My name is Mary Kate. Y’all may have come across my blog, 21st Century Girls. Anyway, I am so blessed to be guest posting for my dear friends at The Song of Three Maidens. I pray that this message will be used for God’s glory today 🙂
Are any of you going through a rough patch right now? Just spiritually, mentally, or physically exhausted or confused? That’s where I am at the moment. I feel very inadequate and unprepared to write this today, but I know that the Spirit is at work and He will turn ashes in beauty (Isaiah 61:3). So, I figured, why not talk about the hard times in life a little bit?
I don’t know y’all’s current situations, but I do know that in the dark times of life, there is always hope. I’ve been struggling for a while now with knowing who I am, what God wants from me, and mostly who God is. And in this time, it’s been easy to forget that life really is a beautiful thing. I’ve heard it said that life is beautiful and brutal – it’s brutiful. And that is so very true. Those of you going through hard times right now, I want to encourage you to NEVER give up hope, because God knows. He knows. And He doesn’t stop loving you. He never leaves you or forsakes you. Isn’t that a wonderful thought? No matter how many times we break His heart, He loves us just the same!
When we feel that God doesn’t hear us, let me tell you He does. We just have to trust in Him and in His timing! He knows us and when it seems like all is lost, He will give us strength. Don’t ever let go of hope in Him because Jesus is the light by which we will see through our current darkness. He promises us in His Word that there will be suffering if we choose to follow Him (1 Peter 2:19-21). Life is not easy but it is BEAUTIFUL. Don’t ever forget that, my loves. Don’t lose sight of His plans for you. Don’t give up. And most of all, don’t forget that He loves you.
Psalm 9:9-10
“The LORD also will be a stronghold for the oppressed, A stronghold in times of trouble, And those who know Thy name will put their trust in Thee; For Thou, O LORD, hast not forsaken those who seek Thee.”
Matthew 11:28-30
 “Come to Me, all who are weary and heavy-laden, and I will give you rest. “Take My yoke upon you, and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart; and you shall find rest for your souls. “For My yoke is easy, and My load is light.”
For hurt feelings….
Have you ever had your feelings hurt?
Yeah, you know what I’m talking about.
Has anybody ever said something to tear you down? Have you ever done something wrong, and have no idea how to fix it?
I have.
If you’re anything like me, when your feelings get hurt, you shut down, and forget you have access to the best and most wonderful resource for encouragement and advice.
The Bible.
A friend once told me that when she was sad or upset, she would read tragic stories from the Bible to help her look at her situation differently. (i.e. The Crucifiction, Job, etc.)
I have found that very useful. But there are other ways of using The Bible when you are upset. Look up encouraging verses. Read them. Study them. Dwell on them.
I’d like to share some verses that have really helped me and many others when they are sad.
  • Joshua 1:0
Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”
  • Lamentations 3:22-27, 31-33
22 The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases;
his mercies never come to an end;
23 they are new every morning;
great is your faithfulness.
24 “The Lord is my portion,” says my soul,
“therefore I will hope in him.”
25 The Lord is good to those who wait for him,
to the soul who seeks him.
26 It is good that one should wait quietly
for the salvation of the Lord.
27 It is good for a man that he bear
the yoke in his youth.
31 For the Lord will not
cast off forever,
32 but, though he cause grief, he will have compassion
according to the abundance of his steadfast love;
33 for he does not afflict from his heart
or grieve the children of men.
  • Romans 12:14
14 Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse them.
  • Matthew 5:7
“Blessed are the merciful, for they shall receive mercy.
  • Psalm 23
The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.
    He makes me lie down in green pastures.
He leads me beside still waters.
    He restores my soul.
He leads me in paths of righteousness
for his name’s sake.
Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil,
for you are with me;
your rod and your staff,
they comfort me.
You prepare a table before me
in the presence of my enemies;
you anoint my head with oil;
my cup overflows.
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me
all the days of my life,
and I shall dwell in the house of the Lord
forever.
  • Jeremiah 32:17
17 ‘Ah, Lord God! It is you who have made the heavens and the earth by your great power and by your outstretched arm! Nothing is too hard for you.
  • Romans 8:31-39
31 What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be[i] against us? 32 He who did not spare his own Son but gave him up for us all, how will he not also with him graciously give us all things? 33 Who shall bring any charge against God’s elect? It is God who justifies. 34 Who is to condemn? Christ Jesus is the one who died—more than that, who was raised—who is at the right hand of God, who indeed is interceding for us.[j] 35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or danger, or sword? 36 As it is written,
“For your sake we are being killed all the day long;
we are regarded as sheep to be slaughtered.”
37 No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. 38 For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers,39 nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Aren’t those verses amazing? There are many more verses that are encouraging and uplifting, so many that I cannot name them all. Every single one of these verses are true. The Lord will never leave you for forsake you. Never.
Even when it feels like your whole world is falling apart, God is with you. He will lift you up.
Here’s a quote from a song that is so true and amazing.
“All this time
From the first tear cried
To today’s sunrise
And every single moment between
You were there
You were always there
It was You and I
You’ve been walking with me all this time
You’ve been walking with me all this time
Ever since that day
it’s been clear to me
That no matter what comes
You will never leave
I know You’re for me
And You’re restoring
Every heartache and failure
Every broken dream
You’re the God who sees”
Song
I’d like to share a song with you girls that I think you’ll like and find comforting. It’s by Jars of Clay.
All My Tears, by Jars of Clay
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
“When I go, don’t cry for me
In my Father’s arms I’ll be
The wounds this world left on my soul
Will all be healed and I’ll be whole.
Sun and moon will be replaced
With the light of Jesus’ face
And I will not be ashamed
For my Savior knows my name.
———-
It don’t matter where you bury me,
I’ll be home and I’ll be free.
It don’t matter where I lay,
All my tears be washed away.
———-
Gold and silver blind the eye
Temporary riches lie
Come and eat from heaven’s store,
Come and drink, and thirst no more
—————-
It don’t matter where you bury me
I’ll be home and I’ll be free
It don’t matter where I lay
All my tears be washed away
——————-
So, weep not for me my friends,
When my time below does end
For my life belongs to Him
Who will raise the dead again.
———————–
It don’t matter where you bury me,
I’ll be home and I’ll be free.
It don’t matter where I lay,
All my tears be washed away.”
