Song I learned

Jonah 2:9b

“…Salvation belongs to the Lord!”

At the camp I was at very recently, we studied Jonah and his life. It was fun, and I learned a lot. One of the things they focused on was this verse, (or part of verse) Salvation truly belongs to the Lord.

Salvation Belongs to the Lord, by Twin Lakes

You cast me into the deep,

You cast me into the heart of the seas,

The flood surrounded me,

All the billows and the waves I could, oh I could see.

——

“I called out to you, Lord,

In my distress, you, Lord, you answered me,

Life was fainting away,

I remembered you Lord,

And you remembered me.

——-

“Those who worship worthless idols,

Forsake their hope of love,

But with a voice of thanksgiving I can say,

———-

“Salvation belongs to the Lord, belongs to the,

It never has been up to me,

Salvation belongs to the Lord, belongs to the Lord,

You save sinners graciously!”

That was the song we sang at camp about Jonah. The camp people (Twin Lakes Fellowship)  created the song, and they did a really good job with it. I DID NOT MAKE IT UP! 😉
